May the Mind of Christ, My Savior

May the Mind of Christ, My Savior by Kate Wilkenson

May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.

May the peace of God my Father
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill me
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing,
This is victory.

May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.

May His beauty rest upon me,
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.

saw this in the john piper website while preparing for cell.. ya.. every sentence in the poem speaks to me.. ha.. we say that we want to be Christlike all e time.. but distraction or rather the world often come in.. is so easy to fall into the trap of being conformed by the world. that's y we need to stand on guard.. to be tranformed by the renewal of our mind, be renewed by the Holy Spirit. we want Holy Spirit to change us, we must have a true heart.. so ya, may the mind of Christ, my Savior, live in me from day to day..

realised it is so so late now.. die.. my bad habit comes in again.. night is still young for me again.. ha.. hmm cant wait for weekends to come.. cos i will be out most of e time on those 2 days.. stayed at home the whole day for so many days liao.. cannot really take it.. ha.. like hermit.. ha.. oh ya sun will be gg for alumni prac!! kind of scared cos i havnt been playing my instru for very very long.. happy cos will be seeing some of my friends.. ha..

feel kind of uncomfortable blogging cos pple will be looking at it.. although like only 2 pple know my blog site. but subsciously feel that my blog is very exposed.. ha.. maybe not used to it la.. ha..

H-m-m... Don't be too sure that only two people know about your site! The whole world is watching--even 3 years later! Better behave! :-)

Thanks for your insightful comments on the hymn, "May the Mind of Christ My Saviour." Today, as I write, is the 150th anniversary of the birth of the author, Kate Wilkinson. If you enjoy hymns, I encourage you to check out my daily blog on the subject, Wordwise Hymns. God bless.
